Some orchid growers prefer the optional 7-day Digital Timer to water their system every several days rather than every day as with the regular system timer. The timer allows up to 8 on/off times per day, a 1 minute minimum "on" time, and different settings for different days. It's three prong grounded, has a LCD digital display for easy operation and it includes a battery backup. Great for hydroponic use with the WaterFarms etc
